Ferrochrome slag is a by-product from the production of ferrochrome, an essential component in stainless steel. Most of ferrochrome slag are produced by submerged arc furnace, the main compenent of ferrochrome slag are Cr2O3, SiO2,Al2O3,Mgo and Cao.

Gravity separation mainly separates metals on basic of specific gravity difference between alloy and waste slag. The bigger the difference is, the better the efficiency will be. Both fine and coarse alloy can be recovered by gravity separation machines.
