Copper Smelter Slag Processing Flowsheet

Generally, the copper granules are coarse inlays with its uneven round shape in the smelting slag. And liberation of the copper granules from the smelting slag is a premise to separate the copper granules. Here crushing equipment will be needed to crush the slag and liberate the copper granules. The crushed material is not so even, and some are liberated while some are not. So screening plant will be needed to get the liberated material and non-liberated material. The liberated will go for further separation while the non-liberated will go back to the crusher for second crushing. The copper separation plant is very important, and there are two kinds of machines to choose, one is copper jigging separator and the other is shaking table. Copper jig machine is used to recover copper granules of uneven size both fine and coarse while shaking table is adopted to get fine copper granules. The tailings after the processing line can be dewatered for piling or conveying. So dewatering plant is designed at the end of the whole processing line to meet the dewatering need of concentrate and tailings, and the dewatering machine used most commonly is linear dewatering screen.
